The freedom of drawing

This is a busy time of year for students as exams are approaching. I'm spending most of my free time revising. However I have moments where I get distracted and start drawing. I draw on scrap pieces of paper, in the margin of my notes and essay plans.

I like drawing as it gives me a break from work. My drawings range from tonal pencil drawings to random doodles. I mainly draw doodles made from shapes from imagination and will sometimes incorporate drawings of objects around me. I have drawn so many that it has got to the point where I keep a journal with all the drawings in.

By drawing I am able to give myself a five minute break from revision to rest. What I am often told about art is that there are no right or wrong creations or responses. I know my doodles are not pieces art, but I just like the freedom of drawing the random shapes and lines.
